Seal was born in Texas,the son of capenter.Prior to his involement in racdical black politics.He was born Robert George Seal, october 22, 1936 in Dallas.
He attend Merrit college, oakland CA, in the 1960's. He serverd three years in the US air force.He worked as sheet-metal mechanic at various aircraft plant,late 1950s;He was the cofounder(with Huge Newton)and chairman of the black panther party for self defense,1966-74;he was the founder of the advocate seene. In 74 he was an autor,lecturer,community liaison for temple university of African American studies department.
